How writers make you feel empathy

Empathy is the understanding of others feelings. A writer can make you feel empathy in many ways and in many situations. You can relate to the emotions that the character is feeling by reading the descriptive words the author wrote and turn it in to empathy. The writer uses adjectives that you can understand and relate to .The words make you feel sad, happy, scared or mad. The writer creates a situation that you can relate to from life, TV, newspapers or books.

The writer uses details that make you think about what’s happening to the character in the story. They use really descriptive words so you know what’s happening to the character. If they live in a bombed-out house, you feel for where they live and you can understand the horrible conditions that they live in. Some synonyms for empathy are understanding, composition, compassion and that’s what empathy makes you feel.
